END-OF-LIFE CARE

Supreme Caregiver Support provides assistance with end-of-life care at home. This Specialty service is billed at 1.5 -hour intervals. There is government funding for this service; however, hours allotted may vary. Caregivers may wish to hire their own private palliative care nurse to supplement hours.

Palliative care is for patients with life-threatening and progressive life-limiting illnesses such as cancer; end-stage heart, lung, renal and neurological diseases (including dementia) and AIDS amongst other diseases (Pallium Canada, 2016).
